After surgery:

Physiotherapy sessions performed early can avoid certain disorders such as the appearance of the protective attitude of the breast (PSA) and chest as well as the appearance of lymphedema, thanks to advice provided that will maintain the mobility of the shoulder, the flexibility of the axillary hollow and a stable weight.

During and after chemotherapy:

Lymphatic drainage sessions allow the body to get rid of toxic residues and physiotherapy allows to gradually regain flexibility and indolence.

Before radiation therapy:

Physiotherapy aims to give flexibility to the shoulder, skin and muscles that will be irradiated.

Consequences of treatments and surgery:

Lymphatic cords or superficial lymphatic thrombosis:

Massages, drainage, gentle stretches, mobilizations to treat these guitar strings.

Scars:

Mobilizations, massages, stretches performed by the physiotherapist because it can be difficult for a woman operated on for breast cancer to touch her scar. However, the patient will be taught the exercises to be performed daily at home in order to work her scar(s) without having to touch them.

Protective attitude of the breast:

Advice and exercises to be carried out at home in order to gradually regain flexibility and mobility of the shoulder and axillary hollow.

Lymphedema:

Manual lymphatic drainage, restraints, adaptation of sleeves, realization of multilayer bandages to best guide the resorption of edema and reduce the sensation of the heavy arm.

Pain:

All the actions of the physiotherapist will act on the control of pain: muscle tension due to stress, protective attitudes, adherent or retractile scars, nerve regrowth, fibrosis of the passage of drains and edema congesting the breast.
